Put me down as one who doesn't have much sympathy for him. He was a spiteful arrogant bastard. Gloating about his porsche to non-league players, lighting his cigars with £50 notes out in clubs.Couldn't happen to a more deserving bellend. If he'd had an ounce of humility, I'd sympathise with him.

I know there are a lot of rumours about him being arrogant etc., but the only people I actually know who've met him reckon he's alright, so I can't help but wonder if it's a bit exaggerated. He used to bring Gareth Barry to a pub I have frequented in Ladywood (his and one of GB's England shirts are framed on the wall), and by all accounts he never used to show off in there.
Lizz: I can vouch for the West Indian Sunday dinners at the Twin Towers (and the excellent septagenarian DJ). Take Mr Lizz late in the afternoon when the dominoes is in full swing.GB and Lil Lee used to go in the Welcome, it was Lee's mate's dad's pub (I think) and they used to show Villa away games in there via dodgy satellite.Ladywood and Newtown are my favourite parts of Brum, salt of the earth Brummies, inner-city Chelmsley.
