Whilst I appreciate that many people won't have much sympathy for him. I hope he's managed to learn and grow from this and wish him all the best in the future. Good luck Young Lee Hendrie.

It's hard not to think he's putting it on, because the guy is an idiot.

The product of a screwed up Football system and a society obsessed by celebratory and wealth. He's just a victim of it all. But sounds like he'll come out alright in the end.

I know it's not fashionable to say so, but I liked Lee Hendrie. Yes, he did some stupid things, eg at Tamworth, but he always did everything he could for Villa and also scored some great goals. I hope he sorts himself out.

He couldn't do any worse than McLeish could he?

Seriously though, very sad to hear about his suicide attempts. The archetypal young man who had it all. Except for a bit of common sense.

Will always be fond of the eejit though for his form in the late 90's when he broke into the team and then spordically after that.

Yeah, usually around contract negotiation time.

Always loved Lee Hendrie, at an impressionable age he seemed cool. And despite th opinion on here, still like him and feel sorry for him
Good luck to Lee and your family

He may have acted like an imbecile at times and chucked a good deal of money away, but he'll always know that he achieved the feat of being a professional footballer for his home town club.

Lee Hendrie has signed for Tamworth.

He was awful when i saw him play for Daventry against the Boro last season in the FA Cup. Game was just taking place around him and he was struggling to get a touch.

Lee Hendrie has signed for Tamworth.
It was over the bust-up when Hendrie got sent off against Tamworth in a pre-season friendly a few years ago that we stopped lining their pockets with the annual friendly.
