Also, what kind of average do people think we'd have had this year with Lambert (for example) in charge and we finished 9th or 10th. I doubt more than 1K higher at best.

This is the first season in 24 years of watching the Villa in which I haven't been to a home game.  I can barely even remember the last time I bothered watching us when we've been on TV.

I came home to the UK in December and chose to see more of my family than take in a game, thanks to AM and his crappy tactics... the game I missed was the 0-1 defeat to manure, so I was glad I missed it.

I've not been to any games this season. The last time that happened was back in the 90s. I can't see the fans flooding back even if McLeish goes. He's really stunk the place out. We need something exciting to happen in the summer.

1 game this season for me. Duffer O'Leary last season I went to 4 - including 4-1 away drubbing at Everton.
Zero next season if McLesih is still in charge.
100,000 casual fans and we have that many (for whatever reasons - family, job ,geography erc..) attending 2 or 3 less games per season. Well that equates to the drop in attendances. Simple. Give some football =people will attend. Currently they won't.

Barry Ferguson, Alan McGregor,Charlie Adam (on loan)-- that is what we have to look forward tonext season.

I have a season ticket and have done for several years. Today, post match, the decision was made collectively if Mcleish isn't sacked we'll have a golf membership next year. We've had enough of spending our hard earned on shit.

1 game for me this year - normally average 4 or 5.  Just no incentive to drive up from Somerset.  Can't remember such a lack of hope since the mid-80's.  Is it honestly gonna get any better next season?  I haven't even bothered watching most of the live TV games as we are just awful to watch.  Its not a style thing - I would quite happily watch if we played like Stoke but looked like we knew what we were supposed to do at, for example, attacking and defending corners.  But we don't look like we know how we play except to try and get a draw somehow.  I find it laughable that McLeish is known as a defensive manager and yet his team doesn't know the basics of defending.

This is the first season in 24 years of watching the Villa in which I haven't been to a home game.  I can barely even remember the last time I bothered watching us when we've been on TV.

I've been half a dozen times, and my group of about 10 mates who'd usually do the same have been once each.

I haven't had a season ticket for the last two seasons. Before that I'd missed a handful of home games in 25 years. It's been down to finance that I haven't got one, having a nipper and having to buy another house, but there's been absolutely nothing seen on the pitch to warrant shelling out the £47 I did yesterday to watch us deliver another performance like that.

The bare fucking minimum I expect from a team I'm charged that much to watch is that they're attempting to win the game, and more times than not it hasn't happened.

Emailed Nichola Keye after the game yesterday to explain that if McLeish is still going to be the manager for next season then they won't have my £500 for the season ticket.

Unless we'd had a blinding season then I don't think the figures would have been massively higher regardless of who was in charge this season.

Noticeable how much less the average away support was this season at VP. How many sides sold out their allocation this year? A lot of clubs who usually do, or at least come close to it, were way down on their usual numbers.

The prices we charge didn't help.

The away tickets have been pricey for the last couple of seasons, which is a shame.

As for the home tickets, the club did do some very good deals throughout the season in fairness but the prices on the whole (especially in the Upper Trinity) were a bit much.

Officially, I agree, but three hasn't been a single home game this season where the 7 ST holders I know have all gone.  And each game there are regulars around me missing. These people get counted as attending when they don't. Lambert may have only sold another 1k tickets but those who'd already bought them would be there as well.

My lad and I attended 6 matches this season.
Until the Liverpool game we had started considering season tickets but that match and the subsequent dross soon put an end to that.

We agreed we will not attend another game until McLeish has gone.

I have been going to VP since 1975 so not a decision taken lightly.

I've decided to renew but only because I can't see how next season's home form could be any worse.

I'll be leaving it til the last minute however, unless McLeish get's the boot, in which case I might renew the following day!
