The "Lap of honour" should be interesting as you say
I am not there as i am on hol but would imagine Eck and co should stay away rather than open themselves up to dogs abuse, whether justified or not

If we have lost then it would be embarrassing if they came out to a near empty stadium

Regardless of the result on Sunday, surely the players won't do a lap. Will they ?

I will heartily cheer our achievements through our youth system.  Most of those players played their heart out.  Take a look again at the celebrations when Weimann, Herd, Albrighton, Lichai etc scored their goals.  It meant everything to them.  No journeymen.  Players that know exactly what it means to wear our shirt.  Shay Given has been really good this year too.

They don't call it a lap of honor these days, do they? Isn't it a lap of appreciation.

Whatever it is I won't be staying for it.  I've other things to do.

The weekend’s results went well and safety now seems virtually assured.
I'm glad someone feels safe. I know I don't yet.

The kids have been awful. The sooner we replace them and put them back in the reserves the better.

We all need to remember that the primary purpose of the "lap of appreciation" is for the players and coaching staff to have an opportunity to thank the fans for their support throughout the season.  It is not meant to be for us to say thanks to the players.

At least now there aren't ST books I won't have to keep ducking as they are thrown on the pitch during the lap.

According to the Combined Fans Day of Action Events Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee (vitalfootbal), fans wishing to pull this stunt are advised to insert their card in an orange or other similar citrus fruit before attempting the gesture. They will provide stickers with relevant website urls in large bold fond for placing on the selected fruit.
