A new manager for starters.

Sack McLeish. Bring in somebody hungry to succeed with villa.

Restructure the club. Take football decision-making out of Faulkner's brief. Bring in somebody to develop our scouting network and a footballing ethos.

Flog the players who don't give a crap. Build the side around Bent, Given, Herd, Hollman Clark and Lichaj. Allow Gardner, Weimann Carruthers, Baker to develop at their own pace. Offer Carlos a new contract ( see below).

Give Marc Albrighton one more chance. Give N'Zogbia one more season to prove himself (unless we get crazy money).

Jury is out on Collins, Ireland, Dunne, Bannan Gabby, Delph and the Fonz. Probably keep Gabby and Bannan.

Invest about £30m in a centre back, a couple of full backs and a central midfielder.

Should be mid-table next year.

The Manager is too easy an option. Things are required to be changed at Board level. Randy's "stewardship" has taken a rather downward turn. He's lost me to be honest. Douggie despite his failings, never left his sinking ship.

A vision. a manager who can stabilize the club after a horrendous 2 years and build a team around the promising youngsters as there won't be any cash to spend.

Just can't see us surviving though...

A new owner would be nice.  A board of directors who between them have more than an ounce of business acumen.  A new manager.

For me, we need a manager we can all get behind, one who has a proven record for implementing a footballing philosophy, even if it's so far met with limited success. I'm not specifically referring to Martinez as he wasn't my choice, but the time is now to net a candidate who isn't afraid of the job of taking Aston Villa out of the doldrums. But please, no more stopgap appointments or people who claim they can unify both success and the bottom line of the budget but can't put together a team who can score from a corner.

Quote
First of all, a new manager who has a decent scouting network and trusts his backroom team. Second, a competent backroom team. Third, an owner who employs people who know about football and not just spreadsheets. Fourth, an owner who has the bollocks to realise his current policy is suicidal and listens to good advice. Five, a clearout of overpaid and inert first-teamers. Six, experience bought in at a non-extortionate price. Seven, an extended run for the young lads who have made good strides during this dark period. Eight, the big screen put up again between the North Stand and Witton Lane. Nine, a decent set of kit by Macron that everybody likes and ten, and the most important: a clean slate.

If McLeish stays, how about season tickets for £100 to tempt us to put ourselves through another 12 months of awful dire anti-football never winning shite ?

I think Lerner needs a very quick rain check and he needs to ask some serious questions about the reasons he bought us in the first place. If it was for the altruistic purposes, that we as fans were led to believe, then it is time he realised those feelings once more and does the following
1.   Remove McLeish
2.   Beg Steve Stride to come back to the club and if that is not possible, scour the football world for an equivalent
3.   Let Faulkner grow the business, but keep him well clear of football matters
4.   Get a number of legends involved in the decision-making processes to give fans the feeling that decision are being made for the good of Aston Villa – Graham Taylor would be an obvious start
5.   Get rid of all the overpaid players that put us in this position, employ an effective scout network and replace them with hungry foreign talent of the likes of Holman.

If Lerner cannot or does not want to do any of this, then he really needs to ask himself why he should continue as chairman. This great club deserves more than rudderless managment, exectued from an offifce in Cleveland.
