Most worryingly, Primark haven't got any brown underpants in my size. I'm going to have to go online and get some man-Pampers from one of those adult babywear suppliers.

Horrific 1-0 loss to Bolton. Draw with Albion and beat Spurs to guarantee survival.

Beat Norwich 8-0 last game to ensure a bumper new five-year contract extension for Alex.

A statistic from the Mail, if we fail to reach 42 points, which would seem fairly likely, this seasons points haul will be the lowest we have ever mustered in the PL.

If McLeish has a strength it's to attain drab uninspired draws against disinterested opposition. That's about as complimentary as I can manage.

Any other season and we'd be down.

It's a weird league this year though, there's a lot of god awful teams near the bottom, though it's very competitive in the top 4 or 5. I can't tell if the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, and Man United have gotten worse or if the teams like Spurs, Man City, and Newcastle have gotten a whole lot better.

2 points, might just be enough.  I reckon we'll only score another three goals in those four games too.

I've just talked to my old mate Mystic Meg and she reckons McJockstrap will lead us to survival this season and glory next season!!!She is always right that Mystic Meg!!Personaly,i can see us biting our finger nails away at Norwich and the possibility of a sad, long trip home on that final game.I hope i am very wrong but i cannot see us getting anything the way we are playing. We are in a worse points position than THEY were last season and we certainly cannot see where the inspiration is going to come from for us to put up the fight needed to stay up.Like i said ,i hope i am very wrong, more will be evident later tonight.3 points and you will here the sigh of relief around Villa Park,no points or just the one and the nerves will still be jangeling.

It's almost like there are 4 leagues within the Premiership this season:

The two Manchester clubs going for the title
Below them only seven points between Arsenal in 3rd and Chelsea in 6th
Below them there is only 6 points between Everton in 7th and Stoke in 14th
Then comes the bottom pack, containing us unfortunately

If we can't win tonight I will have no confidence in us getting much at all in our last three games. On the other hand I think a win would inspire us to pick up a few more points in the remaining matches.
