Think we'll get 2 points which will be enough. Would take some sort of perfect storm for 3 of the 4 teams below us to all get 39 points. Even a point could do it..

Draw two more games I reckon, Bolton and Norwich.  What worries me is that we appear toothless up front, I cannot see us scoring our way out of trouble.  Once we go below those teams trying to catch us, I cannot see us fighting our way back above them.  Goal difference might yet keep us up.  The other thing is, I genuinely hope that Randy and Faulkner don't see it as an achievement if just "just about avoid the drop".

I can see it being touted as some kind of achievement.  I can definitely see McLeish trying to convince people that keeping us up in the face of all the "adversity at the club this season" has been a good accomplishment.

Oh god I can see the OS now. "Fab Villa boss on ace season finish"

and if the players are encouraged to do a lap of honour it will test to the limit the relationship between me and the Villa

The only lap of honour will be the reserves.

I saw that ian robbo has posted an article on his site about us with and without Bent. It is a very scary statistic, this season even more so, with only 9 points from the 12 games he has not played in. For those that don't rate him, the stats on his importance to us are there to see. We have missed him since he was out because he makes the difference between nicking the odd win in the runs of draws, which get the points to make you safe.

I reckon we lose on Tuesday we will drop. It is a huge, huge game.

We will get another glorious draw on the last day in the last game on equal points with a definite relegation stooge and it will be a 'wonderful win' again against superior oppostion taking us into a new season with new players who can play for a glorious draw and survival. That is the theory unless we don't get another glorious draw again.

Good point Ozz.

I'm convinced we'd have beaten Sunderland had Bent been playing, he's a poacher and that's one of the big things we're lacking.

I wouldn't like to guess individual scores but I think we'll get just two points from the four matches and go down.
If we get 2 pts from the remaining 4 games, which in all honesty is a distinct posibility, 3 teams below have to pull off a couple of massive wins to overhaul us.
1 team? Yes.
2 teams? Maybe.
3 teams? I just can't see that happening.

I'm not going down the 'I'm not worried road' because I am.
