The Future of Heroes & Villains ?
« on: April 17, 2012, 08:31:05 PM »
I joined this site just over two years ago, and since then its seems to have been all downhill.
I have gone to the trouble of checking back and found at that time my initial contributions were about us being robbed in a league cup final, going to a  FA semi final, and the possibilities of making it to the Champions League.
I have also checked and found that I am increasingly using the memories section disproportionately in relation to other parts of the site. My doctor said this is beacuse I'm a grumpy 54 year old trying to relive my youth. Wrong! Its because all the stuff discussed in the main section is bad news.

Its time the moderators of this site got a grip on things and stop the rot. If they cant then get some ones in who can. Whose in charge of this anyway ? Surely the buck stops with them ?

GM is where the positivity is at. OT also makes a pleasant alternative for non-paying members.

I wish we were discussing a Villa Champion's League match thread tonight because that is where a great club like our's belongs.

FWIW Brian I agree. IIRC it's MON's fault.

There's only one thing that can save us right now - another TLA [that's a three letter acronym for the uninitiated].

Not quite. An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words, such as WAC from Women's Army Corps, OPEC  from Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or loran from long-range navigation.

So, it's your fault then?!
As another grumpy 54 yr-old who's just watched the i-player version of yestewrday's TV programme on the '70's can I just say: "it were great back then!".

Aston Villa have never played in the Champions League.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers have all played in the Champions League.

 :(
