He has made some very good saves but nothing i would  not of expected rom any top flight pre keeper to be honest - in fact 2 of the goals at Arsenal were piss poor by him

I would actually go for Warnock - has had some shocking games and had had the crowd on his back almost all year - but ability aside he has never gave less than everything for the cause when it could easily have been that he sulked off into a corner - so fair fucks to him

For me it's a toss up between Herd and Ireland but i think Herd has just edged it.

Only way I'd go for Warnock is with a baseball bat!

Ireland ? player of the season !!!!
For fucks sake, its shows the dearth of talent at our club if that wastrel is even nominated.
For me, Petrov was a player rejuvenated this season and regardless of illness, he would get my vote.
Herd would get my young player vote.

Ireland.  Its been a pretty poor show from most but you still get the feeling something might happen when he gets the ball.

Ireland

and I think If he won it , with the fans backing , we might see a very good Ireland next season.

I think we need to make sure Petrov gets it. He was playing well anyway, and the fact that he has a long road ahead of him and this could be the last season he'll play for our club. He deserves it.

Yes, completely sentimental. That aside.. Ireland has been a revelation. And Herd has been sensational.

I agree. I think he's been mediocre really. Still think he deserves the player of the year award though, which says a lot.

Hard to argue with that.

I second that. Ireland is one of those players who responds to support. As mental as he is, he's by far and away the best footballer  at Villa Park and we should be supporting him and building a team around him.

Petrov was having a great season. Just think, some of the (cracking) goals he scored might have helped to keep us up. I'g go for him.

Herd should be young player of the season. Ireland deserves a special mention too.
