On CBBB's and AV82EC's point I think what it would take for people to stop being like that about us playing passing football would be for a sustained run of us playing that way and doing well doing it. If that happened the whinging about it would soon stop.

I'd also say that not all of us, or even most of us are like that, in spite of CBBB's general 'Villa Fans...' claim as if we are that impatient.

I'd agree with that, stick with it and we'd be converted but he'd have to put up with some brickbats in the meantime.  I don't know where you sit Zogman but there are numerous people around me like that.

In a similar vein to Rodgers I would plump for Brian McDermott.

I'd like to see a young up and coming manager like Rogers from Swansea or McDermott from Reading, someone who wants to play the game the right way and have a desire to be successful.

But with our board you never know, its more likely to be someone who is out of work like Bruce or McCarthy.

Hatstand choice would be Moyes, the guy we should have had instead of MON. Realistically it will be someone like Curbishley who's got nothing to lose. The likes of Lambert and co will stay put for now- why go from one club with no money to another one? at Norwich they'd be estatic at finishing 9th, here they call for your head

I'd like to sit where you do because where I am very few are patient people. Your seat sounds like a nicer place to be. I'd ask where it is, but I'm not renewing next season.

Such a shame that we were linked with him before AM came along.

Still think our man should be Martinez (Wigan). Young, refreshing, good attacking passing football and a stylish dresser. Everything AM is not, wot more could u ask for?

Paul Lambert .

He wants to win every game .  He does not care who he is playing .

Can't stand Moyes. He's so fucking dull. Never understood the love for him.

If the question is - who would you like to manage us? Then the answer should be Mourinho or Guardiola. Those suggesting villa boas, Rodgers, moyes aren't setting their sights high enough in this fantasy world question. Realistically we couldn't attract Martinez last year and were debating mclaren or mccleish so to suggest managers above us in the table is fanciful at best and possibly delusional.

I still rate Lee Clark, his win record at Huddersfield was extraordinary, so I still don't know why he got the push, but I think he is an up and coming manager, probably too big a gamble though. AVB for me.

John Beck is starting to look like an attractive alternative option.
