Perhaps was reluctant from speaking about AV as he may've felt compelled to criticise our current state.

If Sir Brian The Messiah said Liverpool or Kenny Dalglish were great, brilliant, the best, ever, whatever, then clearly its true. Same as Suarez being MOTM. I don't care what my opinion may be The Great Man has spoken.

End of. Fact. etc etc

And there is absolutely no irony meant there at all. If Sir Bri sees it however he sees it its good enough for me.

He didn't pick the MOM. He's told what to say, and like any paid employee does his job...

Brian Little is still the ONLY true God to pull on a Villa shirt...

Brian Little Walks on Water....

Not Macca then ?

I might have imagined it, but didn't he say early on he hoped  he didn't come across to biased about Villa.

That's it. The great man was trying to be even-handed and over compensated a smidgen.

It's the only possible explanation for what I'm hearing.

absolutely this

No, he made it. In seven days. Then he sent his son.

Bloody-hell. We're remembering his death today.

Macca was the bestest player ever.

Brian Little was even better.

TV coverage is worldwide and as much as we hate it  audiences in far east, South America and Africa want to listen about Liverpool.

Which just goes to show you can fool all of the people all of the time. ;)

At one point after about 20 minutes he said something to the effect I hope i am not discussing The Villa too much, i think he spent a bit of time evening it up, I was not offended about anything he said.

I think that over the past forty-odd years he's done more than enough to be forgiven one piece of unbiased commentary.

Of course he can be forgiven but it's always a bit sad to hear a hero bigging up another club.

I think it's a bit off criticising Him on the day we celebrate His rising from the dead. What next, accusing His dad of slagging us on Goals on Sunday?

I hope you all choke on your Easter eggs.

Grauniad gave motm award to James Collins. I usually find that paper to be fairly biased towards Liverpool, so he must have had a pretty good game.

I do wonder if Paul McGrath will be remembered so fondly thirty-odd years after he retired.
