Marketing dept - poster sent to Junior Villains - superb !
« on: March 21, 2012, 05:25:49 PM »
When my Son got home today he discovered he had been sent a cardboard tube from the Villa Marketing dept.

In it was a two sided poster - on one side was his name on the back of a Home shirt, hanging up in the changing rooms, with Bent 9 shirt and Agbonlahor 11 shirt either side.

On the reverse is the Trinity Road stand , all lit up, with the McGregor statue in the foreground. However, where the Aston Villa lettering is at the top of the stand now shows his Christian name and Surname either side of the badge.

It is something I would have paid money for - but has been sent gratis from the club.

We have had a lot to moan about over the last few months - but I would like to say well done to the club for this.  Its that good I am going to frame it for him.

Anybody else had one ?

I got home yesterday to find a massive, mis-shapen cardboard tube in my porch from the club.
On opening it, I found to my horror that it contained Moustapha Salifou, the cun.t is now ensconsed in my loft and refuses to come out until I 'Fix him up with a club where he doesn't have to do much.'

I used the cardboard it came in to stick down the pants of the streaker.  Explains the fact that an Albion fan appears to have a big 'un!!

Seriously, nice gesture from the club.  But I still hate McLeish.

No poster so far but ST information arrived and the booklet front cover is a Villa shirt hanging in the changing room with the lads names on it. They also have their pictures inside from the visit to BMH. So obviously they are over the moon ....
Great stuff.

You're not a mate of his are you?

I can always edit it to say Habib Beye instead.

Yes of course I am. That's why I don't find your joke funny. Nothing to do with the fact that it wasn't funny in the first place

It could have been worse. It might have been Ivanhoe.

If they put Heskey in the post, all you'd get would be a card that read:

'Sorry I missed you...'

I rather see my son pictured with a Trophy and not with his name on a shirt hung up beside some bloke who does his xmas shopping when there's a home game going on.
