Yes, Torres is technically fantastic and links the play better than Bent, he just needs to get away from that freak show of a club, Bents a great striker, Torres is a world class striker.

Surely a world class striker would be expected to score more than once in five months, regardless of the club he's playing for, and regardless of whether his style suited them?

And I say that as one who thinks he'll come good at some point.

Bloody right I would. Torres has just lost his confidence. Bent is a fantastic player to have but Torres when, and I suppose if he regains his form could be one of the best in the World. I'd gamble on him.

How many do you think Bent would have scored in that Chelsea side if he had played the same number of minutes as Torres has?

As I've said before Torres was a top class player. The problem he has is that he is in a vicious cycle of poor form, low confidence and trying too hard. Get him out of that and he'll be great again. Getting him out of that will be difficult though.

I don't think we'll see the best of him in England again.  He'll probably end up back at Atletico Madrid and rediscover his form for a couple of years before he starts getting a bit old.
