We have already been linked with Wallace for a summer move, think we could be in for 2-3 of them. Naismith comes to mind too.

I've got a great idea for the post-signing photocall. Instead of holding up scarves, get them to dress up as sausages and jump out of a frying pan and into a huge fire in the VP centre circle

As soon as I'd heard Rangers players were leaving today this one sprang to mind.  I don't particularly rate him but he could be an extra option, can't really lose.  Sign him up, if it doesn't work sell him on and get a fee.

Davis makes some sense if he is free. He is a decent player, and we are not exactly blessed in the centre of the park. He has also captained Rangers for the last couple of seasons so must have some leadership qualities. Is Edu a holding midfield player? With our complete lack of funds and quality in midfield I would take them both if wages were fairly low.

A better player than some people on here give him credit for.

A good pass, good pace, good footballer. The only reason why MON got rid of him was because he said he was'nt big enough. That mentality has now changed.I always thought Steven Davis could become a Scholesy kind of player. He has it in him to be a good player.

On a free its a no brainer to me.

I don't know what their full backs are like, or even what their names are, but we'll have them both.

Does Jim Baxter still play for them!

The players that have definitely been let go are Gregg Wylde (academy) and Mervan Cellick who is a Swedish U21 player. Basically the players union up there reached an agreement with the club over pay cuts. Being as Davis is the team captain it would be a shock if he left the club my mutual consent. Rangers still need to keep a core group so that the club remains attractive for any prospective buyer.

I dunno, I'd take a defence of Delaney, Mellberg, Laursen and Bouma now!

Whittaker can play both full back positions can't he? Always looked o.k for Scotland...mind you so did Hutton!

Should be right up AM's street, ex Gers players for next to nothing.

It's where Villa are now, lower quality players from North of the Border. They will probably be alright in the Championship.   ::)

If we signed Davis I think i'd have to sit down as the excitement would be too much.

Can't see Davis being released from his contract. He is a club asset, under contract and one of the few players they could sell on in the summer. I'm afraid we are more likely to get the tea lady on a free........
