Claret body and blue sleeves, it is all that really matters. The rest is just variation of the same, and much of it I could not care less about. This lot are paying us and see us as their big customer, so are instantly better than Nike who could not care less.

Looks like Championship tat to me.

Well from your view on Macron from day one, they could have both been instant classics but because they didn't have a swoosh that would have been your answer.

Anyway as far as I'm aware these are kit designs based on descriptions so we will have to wait and see, and it is no worse then some if the away kits worn by Premier sides like Chelsea or Everton in recent years.

Right from the off I expected them to design something that would be fit for a Championship or even a non league team and by the look of it they don't look like proving me wrong. Everything about them screams of small time, and that where we're heading.

So what is wrong with the home kit that is so championship or non league then. Assuming that these are accurate representations of course.

I do like the home kit I would buy it but I don't really like the away one.

The away-kit design is just daft, but the blue triangle on the home-kit's collar looks like an evil pointy beard, and I like that!

I read elsewhere that Everton have Nike for next season, and QPR have Umbro. Be interesting to see the details of their deals in comparison to ours.

Maybe it's me, but I quite like the away kit, it's certainly different.
I will add, though, that I'd prefer an all white away top with claret shorts.

Could have been worse, it could have been gree, black and red stripes  ;)

The away one reminds me of the Geordies 'Solero' kit when they were in the championship a few years ago for some reason.  In a word, Horrific.

edit: Didn't read the whole thread, I see someone already mentioned that.

Home Shirt:
Its ok but we've had claret body and blue sleeves for the last 20 years except in 3 seasons - when we didn't wear the standard issue we won the League cup, reached an FA Cup final and won the Youth cup plus the coveted Intergalactic cup. Changing the home shirt style is good for us - time for something different.

Away Shirt:
A step too far, I thought it was the keepers shirt to begin with. We had some nice blue with claret trim efforts in the 60's why not go for something similar.

The away kit is so hideous I actually quite like it. I was demented enough to love the 93-95 green and black special. Though winning a cup in that time probably makes it that bit more cherished in my heart.

The away kit looks like something Small Heath would wear .

"[The Away shirt] is a shirt designed to make a show because the away should not be conservative as often not worn."

I agree with the sentiment but not the delivery, it's not even the colour I object to, but that pattern.  Is it the Aston tartan?

Richard Dunne would look amusing in the away kit.
