What we need to do more than anything is remove the stench of unprofessionalism that has hung over the squad for the last two years. Anyone with a hint of a bad attitude needs to be got rid of which includes, despite being very good players, Ireland and N'Zogbia.

Bring in 1 x CF, 1 x attacking midfield, 2 x wingers, 1 x RB, 1 x LB, 1 x CB. That's 7 in total and clearly never going to happen.

I think there are only a handful of players who I'd be sad to leave Villa. I'm glad Bent and Gabby won't be moving on, but I'm hard pushed to think of others who aren't a waste of space.

We have few heroes these days. I'd be sad if Petrov left.

I have heard via someone close to Petrov that he is likely to move on in the Summer. He is unlikely to get another contract of any length in 2013 so would be looking for 2/3 years elsewhere.

does'nt matter who he brings in, It's his style of play thats the problem, AM did bring in hleb for the blues from barcelona and could'nt work out what to do with him, apparently hleb wanted to pass the ball on the floor.

Yep I agree it's the style of play that's the issue, which is why I think he needs to go. I've seen nothing to suggest he can alter his style for any prelonged period, so there's no point in continuing with him.

I would like a clear out then appoint AVB as new manager and start new look with beautiful attacking football with home grown players and foreign talents and Darren Bent and Shay Given. We need someone to turn us from boring Arsenal era to exciting passing Arsenal era like Arsene Wenger.

I'd look at keeping Ireland, too, as he's starting to show some form, but it really depends how much he's on. If he's on 40 or 50k a week, which I suspect he isn't, I'd keep him. If he's on mental money, like 70 or 80, I'd move him on
