Bob, if you can get off the coach in the town centre, it's great for a few bevvys. There are buses to the track every minute, or alternatively follow the crowd as it's only a 20 min walk. Inside the course it's packed but as Andy said getting a beer is no problem, couple of minute wait at most. I'm probably going on the Wednesday this year after years of going on gold cup day, I always look forward to it.

I'm getting the coach from London at 9am, get to Cheltenham just after 11, I think.

Never been before... presume we will be dropped off at the course, so where do we go for a few bevvies?

Is it ridiculously super jam packed with people everywhere you go inside?

Will there be a H&V meet up or is that a total logistical nightmare?

I'm going with one of the H & V sellers so if anyone spots him (he's rather tall) and asks him for a copy I'll shout you a free Guinness*

New Years Eve in the Bumper, Burton Port in the GC. Glad Kauto Star is running, I never back the horse but it's a pleasure just to see him run.

I'll be there tomorrow, then Thursday and Friday.

Have a great time if you're going, it's the highlight of the year for me.

For info fellas I had Jockey Randall on earlier during his pre-festival walk of the course - said the grounds pretty soft in places so expect good to soft tomorrow. I reckon Montbazon of Alan Kings is a good thing in the opener and I can see him following up with Hold on Julio in the 2.40. The more I look at the Arkle the more I think Sprinter Sacre could get turned over, might have a few quid with Paddy Power on a couple of others - Menorah and Al Ferof. Best of luck for day one.

Shocked by that Champion Hurdle, and gutted! Thought Fly and Binocular were going to fight it out, never got involved. Had a place only bet on Overturn. Knew he would make the running and McCoy and Ruby looked to have underestimated the pace. Can't imagine too many were on Rock on Ruby, but he did it very well.

Fair play andy, didn't think he had a chance personally.
