Villa now have a social media account to provide updates and reports to supporters across China.

All we need to do now is teach Barry Bannan how to speak Mandarin and we'll be minted.

I love how after a couple of paragraphs of crap about us joining a chinese version of facebook there is a "click here for Fulham tickets" link at the bottom - If the club think that those people not going to the fulham game are now itching for a ticket following this groundbreaking news then they're completely wong.

I love how some people go out of their way to find things to moan about. So now we're both happy.

Why the fuck is there a picture of a smiling Bashar Assad on the advertisement.
Because he's the kind of friend that the Chinese government likes.
Sorry but I don't feel too happy with this. Sohu is sponsored by the Chinese government.
A government that quite happily locks up and tortures it's own people for years on end for the 'crime' of having an opposing point of view.
I just don't feel happy seeing our club crest alongside a picture of a murdering bastard.
Don't forget we are the club that refused to salute another murderous dictator.
Shirt sales versus Human Rights?  There should only be one winner.

I am happy with any efforts to raise our profile, be it here in China or back in England. The Premiership is reasonably popular here, partly due to the time difference - we are 8 hours ahead of the UK so perfect for watching games in bars on Saturday evening - but nowhere near as much as in SE Asia and the Chinese are only interested in winners.

People who followed Arsenal 3 years ago now wear Man City shirts. In fact, I have yet to meet a Chinese person who does not support a Sky club. It won't do any harm but I don't think it will change the world for Villa.  A shop front in the city centre advertises the imminent opening of a Manure bar but the bar is still not open after 9 months. This ain't Singapore.

As opposed to torturing other countries' people, like we do...

Still, we're the good guys, so it's okay.

It was more of a flipant observation Dave but considering the level of moaning on here lately, if it was taken to be moaning it wouldn't touch the sides.

I'm glad we're dealing with Weibo because its particularly resilient to hacking.

Everyone knows that Weibo wobbles but it won't fall down.

I'll get my Huafu.

No torture isn't acceptable no matter who does it.
When was the last time that someone was shot in the UK for voicing their opposition to the government?
Or jailed and tortured for having religious beliefs?
Arrested and shot for being homosexual?
Shot down in their thousands for asking for democracy in their country?
I'm sorry but I just don't feel comfortable with this, our club crest should never appear next to a picture of any leader of a country that is systematically killing it's own people.
The Chinese government despite all it's economic power is still a murderous regime and our great club should never be associated with them no matter how loosely.

Just to add, I made my first post in this thread this morning, and I'm sure that if I'd posted from inside China I wouldn't be sitting here now typing this reply.
