You've got to feel sorry for the Browns fans next season, as they continually watch their quarterback left up field on his own, whilst the rest of the team park the bus on the goal line hoping to take the 0-0 tied game into overtime. And then their new wide receiver, Emile Heskey is finally taken off and replaced with someone who actually plays in that position, and they still lose.

Faulker ...

"Alex is always looking for any advantage he can get and he felt this was an ideal opportunity to exchange ideas with his American counterparts at the Browns.""

He's one hell of a Manager.

And people were laughing at Steve Keane flying to India.
We are Blackburn in all but name.
A club with no money and thick as shit owners.

Is it true that the chicken farmers didn't even know that there was such a thing as relegation from the Prem ?? !

Hopefullly the real reason is so that Randy can kick his arse all round the boardroom, tell him its not good enough and deliver the '12 points from the next four and no home defeats till the end of the season or you're history' ultimatum.

The chairman and manager are both supposedly friends of the most successful manager in English football, but decide to fly to the USA for some tips on a different sport,  instead of driving a couple of hours to Manchester.

Chief executive Paul Faulkner confirmed: "'When the fixture schedule allows for a break, such as this upcoming weekend, some managers may take time off to refresh ahead of the busy run to follow.

"Not for Alex. He is keen to do everything he can to push Villa forward.

*cringe*

I honestly don't think the answer to propelling us from 15th in the league is going to be found in the NFL, Paul.

To be fair to McLeish, he probably thinks it's a crap idea too, but sometimes you just have to humour your boss don't you?

True.

No doubt the clueless hand of Lerner is behind this.

Sounds like a good idea to me. NFL is well ahead of just about anybody when it comes to what is currently termed 'Sports Science'. There's much we could learn.

I also like the notion of coaching by function - i.e. a defensive coach, an attacking coach, etc. Although I doubt that's going to figure in any discussions.

I think he's over there for a bollocking personally. They can spin it otherwise.
Or maybe it's just for a game of Golf whilst the Qataris measure the place up.
