I'm mystified as to why he feels he has to come to games in disguise as I wouldn't recognise him unless he walked around with a big sign saying ' I'm Tommy Mooney'

He doesn't, it was made up by the Daily Mirror or some other rag. He probably wears a hat because it's cold.

It's the Thai fries, all reason goes out of the window when they've been consumed.  I've seen grown men, be vaguely dismissive of others opinions after a second bowl of those things.
