Ever thought that he's probably laughing because he has absolutely no idea what the bloke is on about?
Got in his car and said "Anyone got a clue what that man with the common accent just shouted at me?"

Possibly, though he'd probably just wiped it from his mind about 5 months ago. I've tried myself but it didn't work sadly.

Trust the Meaning Evil to describe his reaction as "to throw his head back and roar with laughter". No exaggeration there then

Bloody hell! Is Prince William a Villa fan?

Do people really stand in large numbers to applaud anybody capable of walking down some steps into a waiting car?

Has the name Alex McLeish generated laughter any other time?  More likely a torrent of abuse or just silence, a gritting of teeth and a huge sigh.  Blues fans might laugh of course.

When I heard of the appointment I nearly cried, and they weren't
tears of joy!!Nothing has changed my initial reaction over the last
6 months.
