We were in the Troc when a full on Villa Olbiyun tear up kicked off the once. It was the day of Der Hammer's injury time winner from 100 yards out.

The jukebox was still going strong and the liquidator was being played on repeat.

Stuck in the Gulf now, but in the early through to the middle of the 80's I can recall at least a dozen times I've seen it go off in the Troc,West Brom, West Ham, Chelsea, Man City, Man Ure, and a number of times against Spurs.
Use to be our meeting place prior to going to the Uppers.

Just been reading this thread, i now know why my uncle used to look at me a bit funny when i said i was off to the Troc. I was in there all the time when i was living in brum. I remember going in there for a quick pint before getting the train to Coventry. We were stood at the bar when a large group of noses came in and started mouthing off. One of my mates was a pretty big lad and stood his ground. The bounces on the door around 2000 were Villa fans and we used to have a good laugh together. Went in about 2 years ago with my wife and thought it was crap. Great pub pre snobs, oh they were the days.

We were out on our work Xmas booze up last year, and our younger members of staff were trying to convince us to go to Snobs at about 1am.

Some things have a feeling of permanence about them, and Snobs is one, I reckon

My Dad and my gaffer at work tell me the Troc was a gay bar when they were younger. I like it in there. Although it's not the best pub for watching Football in.

Aston Campus, Pen and Wig, Costas and then either Edwards #8, Hummingbird or XLs. Depending on who got their way.

It's just about the only pub left in the city centre that shows the football!

And yes - it was a gay bar in the 60s.

Sound about the same route we took. I went in The Black Horse a while back for the first time in nearly 15 years. It brought back a few memories.

It's not a bad boozer (again).
We used to prey on the shoegazing chicks back in the day.
The music was awful but one must make sacrifices.

Eight years ago to the day in the Troc, a crazy lady threw a glass at me and then came at me with a stool.
