The reality is Man Utd in a headline gets more attention.

Also parts of the media are attempting to play on  Liverpool - Manc antipathy in the Suarez case instead of discussing the real issues of racism in football.

Paul McGrath is entirely correct.   Just wait and see what Liverpool's reaction is if they have a player subjected to racism.   I can tell you what their reaction will be.   It was done to us.   We are Liverpool.   Everybody loves us.

Brian, I'm surprised the FA could even consider such a ban, especially when you take into account the huge part they and their neighbours Everton played in promoting the cause of black players through the 70's and 80's.

Manchester United is the most relevant link in this story - the subject of the alleged racism is a current Manchester United player.

Appreciation to Mick Dennis of The Express who gave a passionate and reasoned criticism of the Liverpool tribal mentality on Sky Sports News the other day. One of the few football reporters I have time for he was very obviously disgusted with the way Liverpool FC had reacted to this affair. I really wonder if Liverpool had a black player representing them at that match whether he would have worn the Suarez t-shirt, I suspect not.

Glen Johnson ?

Johnson immediately responded to McGrath’s comments on his Twitter account.

He wrote: “I will support who I want. There are a lot of reasons why I’m standing by Luis Suárez.”

Liverpool have hardly any black players.

Has Dalglish ever signed a black player?

That John Barnes bloke wasn't too bad.
