Why McLeish? Why? (conceding late goals)
« on: December 21, 2011, 10:13:38 PM »
I used to watch your knuckle draggers score countless last minute goals, why is it you make us concede so MANY goals in the last minute that have proven critical?

You would of thought he would of kept that "scoring in the last minute" mentality carried over from Blues to Villa.

I'm so sick of our games being decided in the last few minutes. Just look at all the points we've dropped due to late goals. It doesn't matter how well you play if you can't keep it together when it matters.

MON, KM and Houllier have all seen us concede many late goals as well... It's obviously the players more than the coach.

I am not his biggest fan but surely he can't be blamed for defenders not marking midgets

How many teams would have withstood that onslaught of corners?

Why did we allow the onslaught of corners?

We are the home team, we should have been the battering ram in their penalty box. We should of been putting the fear in Wenger's eyes.

The corners were nerve wracking but I feel more inclined to praise the efforts of the team than pick fault for the sake of it. Well done Villa. The crowd were on our side from start to finish. That is what we want and the team rewarded us.

If we'd played shit and won some would still moan. There's been plenty to moan about Villa this year (and i've done my share of it) but tonight's performance isn't one of them.

Yeah, I can remember it as far back as the Gregory days. I just think it's a club trait tbh just as Newcastle are destined to never win anything and no London club will ever win the european cup.

Lets hope so but losing always hurts, especially because what this thread is about.
