I'm a fan of both Cuellar and Petrov but as long as both are well replaced I'm not that unhappy.

That said, there is a long list of players that I'd like to get rid of before either of them.

I've liked and appreciated both Petrov & Cuellar, Ireland, well it just hasn't worked out here for him. But I think shifting all three would be great as it free's up around £150 p/w in wages. Hopefully we'll look continental and get more value for our money.

Be sad to see Stan go, never anything but professional and committed for us. Ireland can fuck off though.

I'd keep Carlos and send one of Dunne or Collins but it ain't going to happen.

Letting Petrov go in January would be a mistake. He's had a good season and is an experienced head.

Petrov is actually having a decent season.

One thing I would say is that towards the end of last season when we brought Stan back into the fold we looked a better side and started to get the points that steered us away from relegation trouble. I think that was quite significant in us staying up last season though maybe not as much as Bent's goals.

Anyway, I reckon we'll be fine as long as we get a good player in to replace him.

Gardner will be in the first XI by February - but his first name will be Craig.
Leaving myself open here, but, I'd have Craig back. I always thought he was under rated and under used by MO'N.
Gary going to Coventry is the begining of Garys first team push for Villa. He'll come back after a month or 2 ready to go.

Agree, I'd keep both Stan and Carlos.
I'd probably offload Collins now, and play Dunne and Carlos giving Clark a run out in place of Dunne.

He got a good goal today, but I still think he should go.

Getting rid of Petrov now would be ludicrous. I doubt there's any truth in it.

Surely?

What the hell has Cuellar done to piss off so many managers? It seems like he's on the end of the opposite of the Great Heskey Mystery.

Petrov won't go. McLeish values him and we need his leadership and experience.

When I saw that the rumours regarded Dunne and Ireland I must admit that I haven't understood the word "heroes" on the title of the thread.
Should they go I'd be more than happy, I'm looking forward to get rid of "players" like those.

Like most I've got nothing against Cuellar but it's odd how a succession of managers have left him out. If we're not going to play him considering he's on big wages and will be gone for free in the summer we might as well get some money for him now.
