After that disgraceful performance last night, i don't see the point of playing Petrov, Heskey, Collins or Cuellar. We obviously are a club that is in transition, so instead of playing ageing professionals who are past the sell by date, we may as well play younger players with something to prove.

What i saw last night was Petrov going through the motions, same age as Parker?, compare and contrast their performances, Heskey working hard, and actually looking a better LB than Warnock, but offering nothing going foward.A headless Hutton, who looked as if he had just wandered onto the pitch after having drunk 10 pints of Tennants Xtra, not knowing his role, or what he should be doing, Collins giving yet more goals away again.More importantly i saw a Aston Villa manager surrender to a club no bigger than ourselves, an absolute disgrace.

  Team

Given, Hutton, Clarke,Dunne,Warnock,Herd,Jenas,Ireland/Bannan,N'Zog, Bent, Gabby.I'd rather play Gardenenr, A,brighton, Delph than Petrov or Heskey tbh

I can't believe that anyone would want Ireland anywhere near the team!
What we need now are some players who are hungry and committed to the cause ...

                                                                       Bent---------Agbonlahor

Gardner and N'Zog to come on at some point.

Won't happen of course!

The starting line-up will be the same as against Norwich, but I think Jenas will play instead of Heskey.

I think Heskey would have to punch Mcleish in the face to be dropped.

It'd take him a few swings to hit the target.

Maybe Herd for Petrov yeah.

I think Albrighton needs to be given a chance again.

We all saw how good he was last season.

Although I agree with that, N'Zogbia was much better against Sunderland and Norwich, so should be back in the team ahead of Marc right now.

-----------------Given-------------------
Hutton---Clark----Dunne---Warnock
-------Herd----Jenus----Petrov-------
-----Nzogbia-----Bent-----Gabby-----

Once we're 3-0 up I'd bring on Albrighton (Gabby needs a rest) and Gardner (for Petrov).

We should play both of them.

Albrighton & N'Zogbia > Hutton & Heskey

I can't believe people keep picking Petrov. He is THE problem with the team.It is only the introduction of Herd that has improved his performances. He has no stamina, no energy, no pace, limited passing.Ireland offers a foward breaking midfielder who tries to get in the box, Bannan has his passing.

Petrov needs to be shown the door tbh, average at best.Herd was by far our best player last night, what does that say.
