Read it this evening and was pleasantly surprised at his candour and level-headedness about topics on and off the pitch.

I liked the whole article, but the lack of whingeing about the stick he got stand out as particularly impressive

It's refreshing to read an interview with such candour. Gabby has gone up in my estimation. Fair play to him.

I absolutely love him, always have. He doesn't come across as stupid as people would like to make him out.

Showing this season, with some added responsibility that he can step up and lead us in areas of the pitch. However, consistency has always been a huge problem for Gabby, games will go by without him even getting a chance for a  goal, let alone scoring one. He has got to keep this early season form up for anyone to consider him as a top Premier League player, and, more importantly  for us to stay in the top half of the table. I hope he can keep up his high work rate and great levels of fitness. I wonder if he does keep this sort of form up, will there be some bigger clubs come knocking for him during next summer? Clubs are always looking for forward players.

I admire Gabby's loyalty, it's obviously very commendable, especially this day and age, but has another club ever came in with a concrete offer to sign Gabby, if tapped up, would it be a different matter? I'm not doubting his love for Villa, but heads are easily turned.

If he finds consistancy and stays with us (which I genuinly think he will) then he will be mentioned as an all time great. I can see him getting a winner in the FA Cup final this year ;)

Why, are Spurs or City going to sign him in Jan?

The word 'legend' gets bandied about far too often, but Agbonlahor is rapidly approaching that level, if he isn't there already.  I could accept the likes of Young moving on, and even that twat Downing, but Gabby is different.  His performances this season have marked him out as one of THE very best strikers in the Premier League.

Gabby's added so much to his game over the last couple of seasons and often under difficult times.
The pace was there, he knew that, but to succeed as a striker he also needed to strengthen his upper body.
He was then asked to play out wide on the left and often not involved under Houlier.
He took it all in his stride and I think we are seeing a very much all round player now.

Nice one Gab.

I would just like to add also that when Petrov hangs up his boots, he should be made captain.

He's the first striker we've had in God knows how long who consistently scores against top sides, even away from home. Despite all the talk of how he's improved, he's always had that happy knack. Good to see him being appreciated on here.

I think i am right in saying Percy, that Gabby is the 1st player who plays for a club outside the top 4 , who has scored at each of the top 4 grounds.

Sometimes i love Gabby, sometimes he frustrates me.On his day he is virtually unplayable, and what i like about him is he always tries to improve. If he keeps to the standard displayed against Norwich then he will replace AYoung in the England team.

AYoung and Downing have allowed Gabby to flourish.
