Jermaine Jenas

JJ looks like he can be 'the difference' for us in the middle from the 15 minutes I saw yesterday.

Alongside Petrov, these two have the makings of a great complimentary pair.

I really liked the way he strode forward from the middle of the park - he just could be a top quality loanee this season.

Where I sit that was the general conclusion we came up with but we all said the same thing that Tottenham will either want him back if he comes good and will do a Kyle on us or alternatively the better he plays for us the more likely it is that we will not be able to afford his price tag.

It is the ultimate curse of being dependent on loan players.

Je-nas or Jee-nas?

That is the question.

The answer is not Jenus.

I think I would rather my name rhymed with "menace" than "penis".

I'm sure he's a good player, I just hope if he is good for us we can keep him.

I agree, he had a confidence and a prescence as soon as he came on.

Yes. Luckily that doesn't rhyme with anything insulting.

Samantha Janus must be grateful her last name doesn't rhyme with anything either.

Her name is Womack. Strange she didn't keep her maiden name like a lot of celebrities...

Jenus could be a good signing, his mobility and composure on the ball, he is pacy, and has a good pass on him.He needs to be a bit more positive when he gets the ball.

The main man in the midfield though is Herd. The whole balance of the team is based on Herd playing in that holding role.

For me its a midfield of Herd., with Jenas or Petrov, and Bannan or Ireland, with Gardener, Delph etc coming in occasionnaly.

You don't think that's an awfully big ask for someone who has played that position for two and a half games for us?

He's doing great at the moment, but let's not make him out to be the next Dennis Mortimer just yet.

I think Herd has found his niche in the team. He has allowed the midfield, Petrov in particular, to express themselves. Stans overall play is wonderful.
Yesterday I felt Hutton and CN'Z played their best games for the club and started to link up pretty well down the right, it can only get better too.
With a midfield of Herd, Petrov, Jenas and Bannan, with Delf and Gardner waiting their chance it looks quite promising.

Idid'nt mean the main man ,as in , hes the best thing since sliced bread, but that his role, and atm hes the best at the club in that role, is imperative, as it is the fulcrum of the side. His energy and pace allows him to patrol the midfield, and allow the better footballing midfielders to concentrate on being positive.

You could play Herd and Bannan in midfield, i'm not sure you could play Bannan with Petrov or Jenas.
