Villa on Making History - Radio 4 - 3pm

I just heard the lead-in to Making History - there will be a feature on 'What links Aston Villa to the ANC?' For those who can't get to hear it, I'm sure it will be available on the BBC website later.

Quite an interesting program, not that much about Aston Villa just that we played this team of Black South African footballers in 1899. When they played Villa they wore a rosette of blue, white and red and said they were loyal to the Queen (Boer war was kicking off etc). I don't think there was anything particularly interesting about them playing Villa as apparently they played 50 times in 3 months while there were over here.
