Sven-Goran Eriksson sacked by Leicester City following poor start to the seasonBy Tom BowersMonday 24 October 2011Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has been sacked by Leicester City following their poor start to the season. The Foxes, who were widely tipped as pre-season promotion favourites, spent in excess of £10m this summer but have so far failed to see a return on their investment as they sit in 13th place.A 3-0 home defeat to Millwall was the nail in the coffin for Eriksson who has been relieved of his duties by the club's ambitious Thai owners. However the decision seems quite a knee-jerk reaction considering a win in that game would have potentially seen Leicester propelled into fourth place and as it stands they only sit two points outside of the play-off places.Eriksson enjoyed a 43.64% win rate in his time at the King Power Stadium but must now look for new employment after becoming the third Championship managerial casualty this season.

I had my hopes when I saw the word sacked. Sadly I shouldn't be surprised to know that our arrogant board wouldn't have the bottle to do such a thing. I long for the day to see McLeish sacked.Anyway, Sven righfully deserves to be fired. Underachived big time. How many times has guy had the boot now? He should be finished as a manager.
