This season's Villa shirt
« on: October 05, 2011, 02:51:35 PM »
Not sure if it's been mentioned before but looking at our players it's as though this seasons shirt is made from a material that allows all the body sweat to be absorbed so that the shirt sticks to a players body.  Is the new shirt made of sponge?

I think the replica kits are made of recylced plastic bottles.

Apparantly Blues have had similar problems with thier kit, the cleaners were finding it impossible to wash off the sh*t from the shirt, until someone pointed out that it was supposed to look like that!

On that very subject ( this season's shirts ), I bet we haven't sold many.

Nike are also slipping behind in the creativity department - even Umbro ( who they own) design better shirts - work that one out !

This season kit is slowly growing on me. I'd still like to see someone mock up home and away adidas kits.

Saying that, I'd be quite pissed off if we ended up with a formulated template like Baggies and Stoke.

I brought a training top, I don't like either. Didn't get last years either, I believe the away shirt has sold really well

I'd be surprised if the away shirt is selling well, we're hardly going to need it this season, with West Ham going down and no claret/ red teams replacing them. And with it being white, we'll probably turn out in the home kit away to Sunderland and Stoke as well, leaving aways at Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool as potentially the only occasions it'll see the light of day (barring FA cup draws), unless we start wearing it away unnecessarily like some clubs do. Villa to wear white at Norwich, anyone?

Yep they would be much better than Nike stuff available now Juan Pablo...and I'd probably spend a fortune on down the club shop on casual/training kits too. Some of the Baggies casual/training stuff looks really good if it wasnt for the filthy club badge.

Is this the last year of the Nike deal?

Would like to see us get Umbro, Puma or Adidas (although I have to say Adidas kits don't seem to be as good as they used to).
