Just heard on 5 Live that Svenny has had talks with Beckham about a move to the Walkers as player coach when his LA Galaxy contract ends at the end of the year.

Great idea. His coaching credentials cannot be questioned following Englands World Cup campaign last year.

Fair play to Becks. I've always thought he was top class.

Fair play to Leicester for giving it a go but I reckon Beckham will have bigger offers somehow.

And the cirucs continues. When did he actually win anything worthwhile? His time in Madrid was 4 barren years apart from sneaking the league on the last day (after he'd been subbed).

Besides the league half a dozen times, a couple of FA Cup wins and a Champions League medal absolutely nothing

Sorry missed the word "last" out of my email. i agree he was great at man U and for England up to the Greece game. thereafter his career has become a circus. He has been handsomely rewarded for having a good PR team and a high profile wife. He's probably a great bloke but in football terms his abilities were limited.

Indeed.  Having his presence there on the bench in his grey suit managed to galvanise the team to such heroic displays.

Beckham was as clued up about team bonding and morale in Germany (If we are to believe Paul Schole's version of a 'divided' England squad) as he was about England's chances of securing the 2018 World Cup.

It is unfair to criticise his club career, it's been outstanding but he is equally venerated for his international career which was anything but. A classic case of style over substance.

His time in Madrid was 4 barren years apart from sneaking the league on the last day (after he'd been subbed).

To his credit, he arrived there and all their fans thought he was a signing to just sell shirts. Four years later he was seen as the benchmark of how Madrid players show be, showing a 'never say die' attitude mixed in with some special talent but always working for the team, not their ego.

They've had plenty of players that have won more but few they respect more than Beckham. Just don't get them started on his missus.

Probably be angling for the Walkers Crisps advert gig now that Lineker has finished.

Can you see Victoria Beckham at the walkers stadium and living in Leicester?

I bet she manage his career and he will end up at West Ham or Spurs with happy Harry
