Season Ticket Holders: Bring-a-Buddy for £5 (Wigan 1/10/11)
« on: September 21, 2011, 11:51:56 AM »
Here's a novel idea: Let's boost the crowd and get behind the team.

"Are you a Season Card Holder? If so, take advantage of this season's first Bring-a-Buddy fixture and buy up to 4 tickets for just £5 each! Ticket availability is limited to the Holte End Wing and North Stand Upper Wing areas but don't forget that you can also relocate your season seat to be near your friends.

To get yours, simply call 0800 612 0970 - but HURRY! This offer is only available from 9am on Thursday September 22nd until 11:59pm on Friday September 23rd."

Good offer in my opinion. Move quick, though.

Why offer the tickets for only 2 days?

I guess to panic people into thinking "I'd better move quickly" and buy them all. You will then find the club "extends" the offer next week!

Yes it's easy to re-locate when there's so many empty seats to choose from. I reckon a gate of 28,000 for Wigan after a beating at QPR. I'm a season ticket-holder - where's my discount or offers when I've paid over £500.00 up front? Just shows desperation from the Board.

They get asked to reduce prices. They reduce them. It's "desperation."

It's a disgrace when you have paid £580 up front for a season ticket and what do we get? A few vouchers for a couple of hot drinks and pie. I must be mad paying that amount for what? If anything like last night is to go on I am being robbed like thousands of others.

I think they need to address the situation with season ticket holders, thier are some good offers at the moment that do put season ticket holders at a disadvantage.

That's the thing, they're now in an awkward situation which lots of people seem to ignore - the idea that you can reduce day to day match tickets as much as you like and it won't have too much impact on season ticket holders.

Making it incredibly cheap to buy tickets on a match by match basis is admirable and shows they're trying to do something, but it's going to make it very hard to shift those 600 quid season tickets next summer.

The drink vouchers are a bit cheeky too, as you have to buy two drinks to get a free one!

Nothing wrong with kids for a quid. Get them hooked before they get too cynical and negative
