I wonder if we'll become the first team to draw a knockout game. The shootout will just go on forever until they give up and send us both out.

Please play a first team McLeish. Since we can't draw this, if you play a first team we'll probably win. If you don't we'll probably lose. Winning is better than losing.

After the game yesterday McLeish said he would be putting out his strongest team for this so be interesting to see who he plays. As Bent and Petrov went off injured yesterday don't think they'll be risked, and with Jenas (presumably) and Heskey still out I wouldn't be surprised to see Gabby up front on his own with N'Zogbia, Delph, Albrighton, Bannan plus one of Ireland/Gardner/Herd across the middle.

Not sure what sort of side Coyle will put out but you can guarantee if one of Cahill, Knight or NRC play they will score.

Still think we'll win 2-1 AET

Would like to see Herd as a defensive midfielder on wens, and Bannan and Ireland in the team as well.I think Bannan and Ireland could play well together.

I'd like to see Ireland and Albrighton come in for this one.

On form and fitness, I'd employ a front four of Ireland, Bannan and Albrighton behind Gabby. Albrighton can provide the width and Ireland and Bannan can interchange between central and inside-forward, providing a nice balance and a good amount of options in midfield. That would help us keep possession as well.

8 - 0 Villa

I reckon we will go all Barcelonaesque

I must stop drinking London Pride this early in the Morning

Isn't that a kind of girlie boy show.........Whatever takes your fancy, who knows it may work, I've always thought that these over physical sides like Bolton are just masking something very feminine underneath, perhaps a sh*g fest middle of the park may get us a by into the next round......

Would like to see Herd as a defensive midfielder on wens,
"wens"?
If you mean Wednesday, Herd will be on his own since the game is on Tuesday.

Taking someone with me on Tuesday for their first ever trip to Villa Park. It had better be good.

I'd like to see him play:
4-5-1 - when done in the right way, it doesn't have to be negative
Gabby up front on his own
Albrighton on the right
N'Zogbia on the left
Bannan, Clark and Ireland in the middle
Defence and GK as it has been
2-0.

I'd pick this:

               Given

Hutton Dunne Clark Warnock

          Jenas Delph

Albrighton  Ireland     N'Zogbia

                 Gabby

Subs: Guzan, Herd, Collins, Gardner, Delfouneso, Bannan, Johnson
