Draw at QPR, and then a win against wigan. Giving us 11 from 7 to start the season. Not exactly sparkling, but over the season I think it will work out about 10 from each 7 games we play, roughly getting us to around 50-52 points.

Truth is that Young and Downing, 2 of the best creative players in the league, have left the club, and shock horror we are finding it difficult to break sides down. Bannan is a good player but needs to play central and as a deeper lying man than we think to be able to see the game in front of him. Jenas coming in will be a boost, and Bent needs a couple of weeks rest to sort his groin, he is clearly half fit and thus not getting into the positions he is used to getting in.

Petrov getting a knock is a blow. I would like to see Gardner start against Bolton alongside Jenas, with Bannan in front, Albrighton and Fonz wide off Gabby up top and give Bent a rest.

A boring 0 1 win against qpr and a 2 0 win v wigan. Personally I hope bent gets dropped, he either isn't fit or simply not in form, gabby is on one of his scoring runs

Two wins, with Wigan to get a good smacking as a final balance out of all the jammy luck they've had at B6 in recent years.

I don't see any reason why we have to fear going to QPR. A draw at least.
We will beat Wigan.
4 points minimum.

Probably the only time ever that Steve Bruce won't mind Darren getting plums-deep in his daughter (if reports are to be believed). That window of opportunity for Daz might cause him a dilemma.

Like most on here I've gone for 4 Pts from the next 2 games. I think we'll hold on for a draw at qpr and finally beat wigan. Qpr look a much better prospect than they did at the end of last season and based on our respective starts to this season, you can't really say that a draw is a bad result in my view. I'm hoping we click against wigan and the 3 pt prediction is based on hope more than anything else really.

I think QPR will turn us over, playing well since the new signings came in and I worry Barton will bully our central midfield a bit.

I reckon we'll finally turn over Wigan at VP though so 3 points from 2 games which would be a better return than the two draws Mcleish is probably planning for!

We'll crack them both.

McL will have seen what was going wrong today and will alter the team accordingly.

Injured players will be back.  Emile will be on form and so will Jenas.  Benty will be feeling better.  Gabby will still be immense.  So will Shay and the defence.

I'm on the 3rd pina colada and feeling no pain.

I never knew that you liked  Pina Coladas.

qpr will be much more difficult than some imagine , swp looked on fire against wolves and i fear the fans who scoffed how shit he is when we were linked with him may see how wrong they were -a draw at best ,although i think we will lose there and scrappy win at home to wigan .
