Points from the next 2 games
« on: September 17, 2011, 06:51:58 PM »
The next 2 league games against QPR and Wigan will conclude our relatively easy start to the season and should give a more realistic outlook on where we stand with a tough season ahead of us. I dont think any of us realistically expect much return against any of the top 6 sides, so the return from the first 7 fixtures are as good as test as any for our new manager.

Obviously remaining unbeaten shows a solid start to the season but papers over a lot of the cracks...an improvement in defence and determination not to lose, is countered by a lack of ideas going forward and inability to create chances.

We are due a win, but also due a loss...so how many points do you think we'll get from our next 2 league games before what could easily be an embarrassing result up at Citeh?

2 points. We will draw both.

Then another draw with City after that.

4 points from the next two games will be a good return before we get our annual whipping at City.

QPR will be desperate for their first home win of the season so if we can avoid defeat down there then that should hopefully put us on track for a home win against Wigan. An optimistic 4pts for me.

Lose at QPR and win against Wigan - not to bad I suppose
nice and tight at the back - but by Christ does Bent need some help up front, without Gabby we would be doomed - doomed I tell ya

Bent looks crocked to me. Fonz in on Tuesday, and to start on Sunday. Get Bent fit before bringing him back.

I reckon we can get a point at QPR and then N'Zogbia will get his arse in gear and score the only goal against Wigan.

Fuck it, i'm voting for 6 points to get us in the title challenge!

Although I expect 2 for the simple reason I don't remember us winning at QPR very often and we never beat Wigan at home unless Nii Lamptey is in the team.

We'll crack them both.

McL will have seen what was going wrong today and will alter the team accordingly.

Injured players will be back.  Emile will be on form and so will Jenas.  Benty will be feeling better.  Gabby will still be immense.  So will Shay and the defence.

I'm on the 3rd pina colada and feeling no pain.

QPR (or ''Kwipir'' as we call them in this house)

0-0

Wigan

1-1

After much huffing and puffing finally...

Agbonlahor 73

and then...

Di Santo 80 (deflection of James Collins arse)

There is another thread about predictions like this , said on that we will lose to QPR, still stand by that.

See what happens with that and then look at Wigan...

Gabby will still be immense.  So will Shay and the defence.

It's a new chant!
