At the age of 22 you should know if he is capable of regular 1st team football at this level.  If not it does neither the player or the club any good to dither.  If he is a squad player only he'll be filling a place that a younger player could be occupying...

Unfortunate taht we let the hogg out who who !! Not such a player for epl.
i think he will do well for watford.
A player to avoid backing on scoring goals i think hes a player who will get more yellow cards than goals. To me his game is suited to mls think he would be top pro out there.

but he came back to become Villa reserve team's leading goalscorer as they won the 2008–09 Premier Reserve League Southern section.[4]

A decent player and good on him for wanting to move and play football and kickstart his career. Surprised we didn't get nay kind of fee for him though.

I reckon he will have a good lower league career, along the lines of Whittingham/Murray, but I seriously doubt him leaving will ever come back to haunt us.

I think he made right decision for long term. If he stay he might play 50 games for whole career and other oprion is he could play 350 games for other club or three.

For some reason I thought i'd read it was a free. But using the wonders of Google I just found this from a local Watford paper.
"Hogg, who signed a three-year contract in a deal which we understand will cost Watford an initial £300,000."

I appreciate he did well in '08-09 res team football but thats way different level and it was also a few years ago - he hasn't really develloped in to a midfield dynamo imho

goood luck to him though

Right decision to get rid. Always looked overweight to me and was regularly given the runaround by those Duke boys

Is there a possibility we can incorporate Daisy Duke's tits and arse into this conversation?
