I think this is one of those games that will be a good barometer of the season ahead. Win and we should be comfortably top half. Lose and it could be a long season ahead.

FWIW I think Everton will struggle this season whereas Wolves will do better than expected. I think we'll sneak this one 1-0 or 2-1 to provide some early season optimism after the hysteria of the transfer window.  Either way I'd be happy with 4 pts from the next two games.

they're not playing very well by all accounts, . 0-0.

This is a game we'd typically lose, and I think we will.  1-0 to Everton from a corner.

A mate who is an Everton supporter was at Blackburn and said they didn't deserve a point even. He spoke to Cahill after who reckoned they used up all their luck for one season in the game.

0-0 it is then.

Hard to predict this one. Blackburn were given a 2 penalty chances and still couldn't beat them (although that says more about Blackburn). Everton are still a similar team to Villa, the only difference being, they don't want to sell their better players.

I hope a win, but they need a win at home after their opening day debacle so will push for it.

Have to say, Everton do look ordinary this season and they're traditionally slow starters anyway. If nothing else, we're looking hard to beat - they're pretty light up front, our defence seems solid again. And so... 0-0 (again) or 1-1.

Depends on the formation, and who starts. Same formation as we've been using, 0-0 draw. If we see some early Albrighton and/or Bannan/Ireland participation, I can see us getting a 1-0, 2-0 victory.

On another note, I think Gabby has done well this season so far, do you think we could play him and Bent together up front? Maybe have Agbonlahor play behind Bent?

We have an excellent record at Goodison.

I can't think the last time we lost at goodison in the league. If we score (other than a late consolation) can't see us losing.

But that does seem to be a fairly big if!

12 (twelve) - nil to them. AM gets fired. And we spend the next 6 months being managed by the General to keep the wage bill down.

After all he is a great leader of men...

I'll reserve judgement until the window is over. If we get a few players in, who knows.

I'm thinking a 0-0 draw.

I reserve the right to change my guess if we make a couple of exciting signings.

0-0 then?

The safest prediciton is that neither side will be unveiling a new marquee signing!
