How Desperate is Dann
« on: July 28, 2011, 07:45:21 AM »
I should think he is sitting by the phone waiting for McLeish to rescue him.

Note to Mods.  Please do not merge this with the transfers thread, I only wanted to put the words Desperate and Dann in the same sentence.   Thank you.

Is 'Desperate Dann' the man though ??

I hardly ever watch SHA, only when we play them, so am keen to know how gOod the guy is - better than Collins ??

Is he a defender who can pass the ball ??

a good player who if available cheap would probably attract a lot of interest -already seen him linked to liverpool, chelsea, arsenal and villa but maaybe his mcleish link would give us a chance.

not sure this warrants its own thread though.

Going by what I've seen of our 2 CB's so far we only need cover for them rather than replace.
Both Collins and Dunne were super vrs Blackburn in the Asia Cup.
Think Dann could be a good addition as I reckon he would be fairly cheap too, especially given the mess blues are in at the moment.

According to the guest Journo on Talksport this morning the deal is almost complete to take him to Stoke.

I wonder if they've paid us for Davies yet?

What is it with Pullis and defenders. Huth, Shawcross, Dann, and Woodgate. Dann is a good player but don't believe defence is the area we need to strengthen.

If they can keep Woodgate fit they really would have a formidable batch of centre halves there.

Dann is a very good defender but according to my nose supporting in laws he lacks pace.  I'm not keen on snail type defenders up against pacey attackers.

He's not going to come, the spending is over, I still think Dunne & Collins will be ok as long as they stay focused

Has anyone read Merson's book? In it he says Dann was at Walsall and he was shocking, he said that he sent him to Shrewsbury and they sent him back

Is it the Paul Merson who struggles to string a sentence together on Sky? If so, I would take what he says with a great deal of caution.

Merson was so bad as a manager he could probably get Lionel Messi playing crap.

If Mcleish really wanted Dann think Lerner would fund him. Depending on the asking price. Still think Lerner will fund Mcleish for other players ........
