Oh dont leave us, people's poet!

Oh look, Mazrim's found a new toy.  Leave it out eh?

It did say 'miserable gits need not apply' which should have diverted the poster to many of the other threads where they could have posted posts showing the vastness of their miserable-ness.

N'Zogbia's got something special about him, that's for sure - he's the sort of player who can win you a game on his own. Very exciting.

Great post. It means that Villa probably would not get relegated and might get 6th. Maybe a cup run.

Yipee kay ay.

No real chance of silverware. No chance of regular quality matches. No point doing more than watching on TV.

If ever one post summed up new footy fan, this was it.

We're Aston Villa, we don't do glory hunters. As Dave says find a team in Manchester to support. You could start a new trend of Brummie light blues.

It does you no harm to remember what you have and could have sometimes.

Since when did posters get to choose who replies to a thread and who doesn't?

I'm going to put "smug bores need not apply" at the end of every topic in that case, and hope it sees off threads like this.

Ireland has the ability to be a massive player. If only McLeish can get him onside...

Are you suggesting a new section just for season ticket holders to post and reply . . . . . . . . . . . . . . [legs it]

Smug bores. That's exactly how I would describe PaulComben. And a few others besides. I'm all for it.

If somebody wants to start a thread with an all too rare positive theme and lightheartedly asks those who don't feel so good about things and have to tell everybody about it in every thread to stay away. Can't they like, just fuck off out of it for once? Just one thread?

Have to say I hope that McLeish quote about 9th being difficult is taken out of context. I'd expect top 8 at the minimum with the resources he has at his disposal.

Even though stronger resources only managed ninth last season? The squad is capable of more but there are lots of issues for the manager to sort out so it will be to his credit if he does it.
