I wonder what the total revenue from those 134 transfers amounted to, and then i wonder what say about 10% of that figure would amount to. Just wondering like.
Barry Fry must have been on a similar deal down the road, didn't he turnover about 51 players in one season.

Fry also got a cut of the Collymore transfer fee when he sold him to Forest.

Blimey, that's as many as Spud Face's daughter.

A man of unimpeachable virtue.
The Rio Ferdinand transfer was good.
He'd been banging on to his chairman and the media saying he wouldn't sell him at any price as he wanted to build the side around him, he then suddenly changed his mind.
Could have been to do with the £300,000 he receieved on condition he never spent the proceeds from his sale.

He did spend a fair whack though in the months following. All on terrible, terrible players, most (maybe all) of whom had the same agent.

---

On a wider point, it was interesting to hear one of the senior board members of the Lillylivers talking about Modric (and other issues yesterday).  Modric still not for sale -though how long that lasts remains to be seen. But she was talking as if the bulk of the spending had been done now, and the targets have been achieved.  Of course they managed CL football unlike us (not going to open up that hornets nest again). But it does seem to illustrate that none of these owners (with the exception of Roman and the Arabs at Citeh) view the projects as financial black holes, and are willing to just keep on throwing money at the thing.

I dare say 'arry is frustrated though, he's made a few remarks to that effect over the past few months. I also wonder where all the links to the Chelsea managers job came from in he summer. He was never seriously a contender for that role, you'd feel. Not based on the type of managers they opt for. Yet all the main papers were running with 'arry to Chelsea speculation.

I want to say here and now that anyone who thinks that the loveable scamp would use his fawning media buddies to create these rumours -either to push his case for the Chelsea job or to simply get more leverage at Tottingham is very, very cynical.

Redknapp is everything that is wrong with the proffesional game!

Corrupt, money grabbing squinty eyed old tosser!!

Got Talksport and Sky sports news on speed dial on his phone and got an opinion on everything!

Used to like him when at West Ham, but what he did to Pompey was an absolute disgrace.

My spurs supporting mate reckons than 'Arry will either be England manager (or in prison) next season and therefore the club do not want to give him any money this season as they'd prefer the next manager to get the cash.

He's certainly going to be the England manager.

who is pascal chimbonda's agent does anyone know? always thought his return to spurs was one of the most bizarre signings in recent times given the amount of full backs at the club at the time. think he only made 3 league appearances second time round there.

I hate the c***.

This has largely been precisely my view of the man since reading "Broken Dreams". However, I have had to acknowledge his success as a manager in the meantime.

As much as I don't like him as an individual, I'm struggling to think of a better candidate for the England job when Capello goes

Arry as England manager would be shite IMO.  His greatest asset is wheeling and dealin...ahem, sorry you old crook, I mean 'maynaging a fu'bawl clab's traynsfers'.

Take that away and you take his only discernible talent away.

Not so, he's a master at telling his players to go run around a bit.
