good bit of business, can't believe we got 20m for the 1/2 arsed poof, I truly think Daglish as gone mad!
will not boo just shake my head and smile as Albrighton steams pass him and leaves him in a heap as he slips over for the 100th time, not a genuine player and made for the deluded ones!
nice one....bye Stu

I don't really believe in booing players.

I think I would boo Downing though.

Stewie, or Dirty D as I now refer to him, will get a terrible reaction.

Yorkie, Barry, Milner etc served the club well (despite what we may think of them). We took a gamble on Dirty D, gave him a chance to prove himself a top player and he fecked off the first chance he got. Pr1ck.

It was a lot of money, but his 30 odd goals the following season which helped united get the treble its a snip!

Could have held out for more.

Bearing in mind we were a top 6 club back then.

Sadly we were bigger then than we are now. Partly due to the failure on our part to kick on at the right times but the game has changed a lot too and we probably are victims of that.  Who would have thought ten or fifteen years ago that clubs like Chelsea and Man City would end up having so much money to throw about.

Villa are going through a rough period with many awkward questions hanging int he air but to me they will always be the greatest club in the world.

I pretty much decide whether they left us (boo) or we got rid of them (warm applause or ignore depending).

Tried and tested.

It always makes it more entertaining if there's a pantomime villain you can direct all of your stick at. Notably, Joey Barton got it in the neck when we beat Newcastle, and didn't Terry get a load of verbals last October or whenever it was over something or other? You find out how weak a player actually is if they let that kind of stuff affect their performance. Terry didn't, really. Barton did. I expect Downing to follow Barton's example.

I think we should all follow Barton's example.  What a model professional.  ;)

I said in another thread, Downing is a tosser and his legacy with Villa is of Hodge proportions.

way before he joined us I always thought the guy was an asshole especially when I read some article about how he was a part time Ibiza DJ and that he referred to DJing as a 'mental challenge'.

tosser.

When he used to play for Boro and the odd game for England i honestly used to wonder how.Was a fairy before Petrov nobbled him ,that injury has just made him pull out of any 50 50 tackle.I certainly am not sorry to see him go,we wont miss him half as much as we will the likes of Young and like we did Milner.

I don't doubt Downing will be booed relentlessly on his return.
