Maybe a combination somehow?  In the same way that it's the 'Carling Premiership' we could call B6 the 'Forex Pro Villa Park'?

I think that's what would be done.  I can't see the words Villa Park being dropped completely, after all there is a certain amount of history there.

Yes but for a combination, you'd probably have to accept considerably less money for it...

We have to remember though that the Man City thing is just a scam by the sheikh to get around the FFP rules. I'm not sure we could command £150M for the naming rights to VP. When you think about it that's virtually the cost of an entire new stadium.

Exactly - a genuine deal would be worth a fraction of £ 150m.  This is just the arabs moving money from one pocket to another to cheat the new rules

No way, no how.

No amount of money could persuade me. I dont care if we fall even further behind the rich clubs, we already have and its not likely to change.

Would you accept us changing our home kit to blue & white if some rich arab gave us £500mil?

Or how about us changing our name to Birmingham Utd?

No?

Thought so!

Well said sg.  Some things are sacred, Villa Park is one of them.

How about turning it around ? A company changes its name and rebrands itself using our name....for example Norwich Union renamed itself Aviva, they could have paid us by allowing them to rebrand themselves as 'Villa Park' instead.
Why pay copious quantities of cash to Paul Whitehouse and the TV stations for air time when their name/brand would get massive exposure every time we are mentioned ?

"Car Insurance ? Go direct............get the Villa Park deal".

If that Man City deal is allowed under the new Financial Fair Play rules, it will anything but Fair Play.

Etihad pay £2.3m a season to sponsor Abu Dhabi City's shirts, why would they possibly pay 5 or more times that to re-name the stadium?

No to renaming Villa Park. But if the owners of Tata stumped up the cash for the new North Stand then I could live with the new "Jaguar Witton End".

My thoughts exactly

Are they going to generate in excess of £150 million in extra business?

It's one way around the fair play rules
