Jackie Smith who used to be a Home Secretary.

She isn't an MP any more.

To be honest I don't really care who he supports.

Shame I didn't wait for an answer as a quick Google search  for "Labour Villa Fan" threw up teh Internet Virus as first post.

Anyway, he's alright with me.

My first thought was crikey Friedels let himself go a bit!

And good to see Martin Laursen back in a Villa shirt.

Hey, he could have worn a predictable Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. Even if he didn't say he was a fan before, and now wants to be one so be it. I don't really agree with his politics but I'm quite convinced Villa supporters as a whole don't all see eye to eye on every issue; Villa related or otherwise. If he wants to be a Villa fan, and wants to wear his top while out for a run, then good for him.

Villa Fans : Arghhh bollocks, we never get any attention from anyone :(

David Cameron : Hello, I'm an ardent Villa fan.

Villa Fans : Fuuuuuuuuuuck off!!! You're only doing it for the attention you shiny faced cocksickle.

I despise the man's politics, but as long as we number Nazis and religious nutjobs among us, I don't have a problem with him being a Villa fan.

As ever, time to point out this is the same David Cameron who always said he wasn't a Villa supporter.
Everything he says is shit.

Those shorts are far more offensive than anything else.

Unless he was trying out for the Tour de France and was just about to get on his bike. I wish he would.

We should issue some kind of 'fatwa', as this is a close to blasphemy as it gets in my godless world.

As this site shows every single day, supporting Villa is a broad church.  Even the "supporting" is on a spectrum from never having missed a game in decades to making us the first result you look for when you remember its the football season.

I think we all know where Cameron is on that spectrum (and also, for that matter, fellow Old Etonian, Prince William).  However, the fact the spectrum happens to be claret and blue means I have no problem with him wearing the shirt.

It could have an impact on global name/brand recognition.  Everybody knows Aston Villa.

I believe he has been fairly consistent in that he has never claimed to have been a Holte End regular, he doesnt claim to go regularly, in fact his one attendance (which was proven as opposed to Blair's timewarp episode) was in the Directors box.

He just says he supports the Villa but doesnt turn up ( a bit like GregNash).

And him wearing a Villa shirt on a run at 7am in the morning is hardly fishing for publicity. Its not like he turned up to meet Barack Obama in it.

As ever, a bunch of bitter socialists cant see past the politics. Why dont some of you just go 'fair enough, forget your politics, glad you are with us.'
