Luke Young - How do you see him?
« on: June 25, 2011, 10:27:54 AM »
Where do you see Luke Young at this football club? Personally I think he's a very steady right back and consistant enough to be playing 1st team week in week out. As much as I liked Walker it did confuse me that ged went out and loaned a new right back when we had one and was in need of a left back
Personally I think if moneys tight like people are suggesting we keep Luke and spend the money elsewhere. Can't really recall him making too many mistakes either

So-so, nothing special but will do a reasonable job. Prefer him at left back.

If we don't sign any fullback this summer, he will have to be, by default, a first team player.

Think it was probably a case of we couldn't get a left back in. They seem to be a rare breed.
Hopefully Warnock will come back on board and Luke can revert to right back. Would love to have seen Walker come in.

As long as he's doing a job it doesn't matter that he's not the most spectacular does it?

He's a 7 out of 10 man IMO and every team needs a player like that.

First team, lost ash downing going cuellar too, no goalie, no walker, think Luke will be essential.

Left back for me. Solid there, useful for the winger switching over as he is stronger on his right, but always solid and dependable.

On the way out now after having the best years of his career wasted. Worth keeping as a solid back-up

A decent solid full back - there are surprisingly few of those around so we should keep him and he should have played more for us imo.

I haven't heard anything. Just wondered what everyone else thought because of all the rumours of Walker or Hutton coming back

He`s a "Steady Eddie"

agree with other posters - keep him if monies tight - no point selling for 1-2 Million just to spend on someone else for the same wedge
