Andy Watson has been told he's not wanted by Hughton.

This seems to be dragging on even by comparison to other clubs, though.

We should just bite the bullet and get them now. Gmac went ages ago.

Awesome. So, just under three weeks after we appointed our manager, we still haven't appointed our backroom staff, because we're waiting to see if Birmingham City release them?

What are we going to do then? Send off for references? Put the positions out to Job Centres?

Didn't the fellow Watson (the GK coach that folk are raving about) get sacked by them yesterday? He must be on his way.

I just hope he doesn't bring Peter 'Jonah' Grant with him. He might bring Roy Aitken instead as he is out of work.

all of GH's staff except Gmac/Duverne are still there though - right? Don't think anybody else left. So he's short at Assistant Manager and a fitness coach. So he will probably get in 3 or 4 more coaches. Not the end of the world, and I'm sure when the players come back they'll have stuff to do.

It was Andy that got sacked, first team coach. GK coach is still there at the moment.

AVFCOfficial Aston Villa FC
For those asking about our new fitness coach, Adrian Lamb, he used to work at Blackburn and Newcastle. #avfc

Was taken to Blackburn by Big Sam, who is apparently very big on fitness ans sports science etc! Looks like there is just an assistant to add, Cowans is fist team coach and Gonzales is the GK coach
