I went down to the Villa shop a couple of saturdays ago to get my little boy one.  I went with the intention of getting a Marc Albrighton one for him in the hope that one day he might be the new "Goldenballs".

There were loads of Warnock, Beye, etc ones there and then right on the end a white top from a couple of years ago with Albrighton on.

It's only when I got home and started to think about it.  It was a Large with the number 45?  When would that have been then, Europa League?  Considering he's about the size of a 12 year old (Marc that is) a large?

Anyway, my lads chuffed to bits with it, he wanted to take it to school for his "Show and Tell" day.

Was it one of last season's? i.e. an Acorns shirt with a round neck?

Albrighton was initially assigned the No.45 shirt during pre-season, which he'd worn the year before. However, following his impressive displays at the Peace Cup, he was upgraded to No.12 before the start of the season.

I imagine you have one of the shirts that was prepared prior to the change of number - so a pretty good rarity!

I have a signed Ian Taylor one packed away somewhere safe. So safe it would probably take me hours/days to find it. I also have a signed Fat Baz shirt, but not match worn. I think I wrapped that one round the Tayls one so as to protect it.

Yes TVW that's the one.  Not a bad deal then for £30.

I have the above hummel top with number 9 on the back, same style numbering,no football league patches on arns (did they have these in 87?)
In 1987-88 this shirt didn't. The following year was the first year they were used, so there are examples of this shirt with them around.

This one has 16 on the back

Love this shirt

I have the 87 away shirt. It isn't match worn, just a beautiful shirt.

Sneak into the changing rooms and steal them from the laundry bin.
