Personally, I will support the team and the new manager but the board have stuck two fingers up at us fans, so I will do the same.

I will wait and see, I am gutted at our lack of ambition though.

Still think he loves the club. They just dont have the knowledge to take us forward though. The last year as been one of incompetence!

And get rid of bloody Faulkner and bring some people on board who understand the bloody game.

Wait and see for me.

Alex has my full support and I hope that they will back him and at least give him a fair crack of the whip in the job.

I'd like to say that up until this symbolically handled process and questionable decision they had my full backing.

But is it a lack of ambition or an error in judgement?  Time and trabsfer funds will tell.

If we have come to a time where the board feel we have to trim back spending then it would be good to come out and say it.  We've seen with the likes of Leeds Utd where reckless spending can lead.  It almost happened to Chelsea before Abramovich stepped in.  Perhaps a cooling off period is needed but I hope communication can be resumed between the board and the fans.  If this doesn't happen then the board will have lost my support.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as until now I've not found fault. What is clear is that they need someone a bit more knowledgeable on the football side around. People have mentioned Steve Stride; I don't know if he'd want to come back but certainly someone of that ilk.

Whate ever it is it's a move that is not reall excited us in a positive way.  Personally I think we have made a big mistake.

If it *is* a lack of ambition, then that's heartbreaking, because I thought our board were as ambitious as us. Conversely, if they've genuinely picked who they think will create that stability and legacy at Villa Park, then fair play to them.

I guess only time will tell whether the fans were right to kick up such a fuss, or whether the board were right to stick to their guns.

I'm still with the board though. They still have done a LOT of good for Villa. At the worst, I think a lowering of ambition is painful, but not club-breaking.

maybe randy hasnt the cash now to compete at the very top level and we dont know who he tried to get as manager , if he did try for ancelotti, benitez and moyes then its not his fault if they turned him down-without knowing the facts its wrong to pass jusgement.

I don't see how it can be a yes or no to supporting them. If they do something you agree with you back it, if you disagree then you say so.

I think McLeish was the wring choice. Not because he's the useless duffer some pretend but because I think there were better options. It might turn out that they are right in which case I'll say so.

Yes I'll still back the board.

The vast majority of what Randy and co have done for Aston Villa has been very good.  I don't doubt they care a lot for the club.

I cannot fathom the appointment of a manager whose track record is, at best very very mediocre, but would like to think the board have seen something in him (however misguided)

Everything Randy's done has been good for the club, this is a long term game he's playing and he gets my support.
