Downing's goal against Liverpool was the difference between ending up 9th and 14th in a season where we were serious contenders for relegation.

I would have said no but with McLeish on his way I'd Rather have a Gerard houllier who has lost all his senses.

Agree,if he was well,I couldn't see a problem with what he was doing. Get shot of the dead wood,bring in some young talent with the ability to keep the ball.

Yes, I thought he had a great plan by the sounds of it, and we were playing decent stuff. I wonder how ill he really is.

I was hoping he would continue.  He made some mistakes by trying to change things too quickly but I liked the general direction he was taking us in, a more continental style passing game, more discipline on the training ground, a willingness to rotate and utilise the younger players.  I also think his January signings of Bent, Walker and Makoun showed promise and I was looking forward to getting more of the same class in during the summer.  I'd have him back like a shot, and I'd have a semi-comatose GH over McLeish.
