Kendrick seems to do a decent enough job considering the limited material he has to work with.

Especially compared to some of the journos at the nationals.

As Dave Woodhall has just stated. "Every journo will have more contacts than you can imagine. After all thats there job." So if he is the Aston Villa reporter for the Birmingham Evening Mail and journalists from other papers are ahead of him. "decent" = not very good .........

If as MM says that only two people in Villa Park know what is going on, and Kendrick would usually be the next to know, and there is no new information that Kendrick has but everyone else is running a story his editor would make him run that story too, just in case it winds up to be true.

I thought you write for the Sunday Mercury Dave?

They released a story last night that Eck was coming to us, then out of the blue Eck resigns today.

I am very suspicious...

I've tossed some insults around on this site and many at DW, but that sort of accusation is beyond the pale.

I'd rather be accused of interfering with livestock.

He seems like a decent enough bloke to me, from what I've been able to read of the stuff he writes.

I think Matt Kendrick is a decent enough journo.  Not sure what all the negativity towards him is all about considering villa do not really conduct their business in the public.

He doesn't have to talk on Twitter, does he? so, anything he does post is always good to read.

He's been quiet on Twitter today, hope its not due to him being busy writing up his exclusive interview with new boss Mccleish.

It does annoy me the latest trend seems to be to just have a go at any journalist or media person and saying they could do a better job.

Mat seems fine to me he will make mistakes just like everyone in any job will also do.

I don't dislike Mat at all. I would rather there were fewer articles of complete speculation dressed up as an exclusive but when you have little to go on its to be expected I suppose.
